DUBAI – An Indian expatriate who owns a real estate brokerage has won the $1 million jackpot in the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw, held on Wednesday at Concourse A of Dubai International Airport.

The draw took place in the presence of Dubai Duty Free officials, who announced the winner shortly after the ticket was selected.

The event continued the long-running promotion’s reputation for attracting thousands of participants from across the world.

Million-dollar win

The winner, Amit G, is a 46-year-old Indian national who has been living in Dubai for 25 years. A father of two, Amit purchased the winning ticket number 2382 online on January 14. Upon being informed of his win, he described the prize as “the best gift for 2026,” marking a memorable start to the year for the long-term resident.

Amit becomes the 270th Indian national to win $1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion. Indian nationals continue to dominate the list of winners, reflecting their position as the largest group of ticket purchasers in the long-running draw, which has been held regularly at Dubai International Airport.

Luxury vehicles

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, Dubai Duty Free conducted its Finest Surprise draw, which offers high-end cars and motorbikes to ticket holders. Two luxury vehicles were awarded during the latest series, drawing attention from participants and onlookers at the airport venue.

Essamuddin Galadari, a 68-year-old Emirati based in Dubai, won a Bentley Flying Spur V8 Azure in Beluga colour. He purchased the winning ticket number 0788 in Concourse B on December 27, entering the Finest Surprise Series 1947. Galadari, a regular participant in Dubai Duty Free promotions, is the CEO of Ithra Dubai LLC and a father of three. He expressed his delight after the announcement, thanking Dubai Duty Free for the win.

Repeat winner

The second luxury prize, a Ducati Panigale V2S motorbike in red, was won by Fathollah Nasrollah, a 55-year-old Iranian national based in Abu Dhabi. Nasrollah purchased ticket number 1010 online on January 8, securing the winning entry in Finest Surprise Series 655.

This victory marks Nasrollah’s third win in the Finest Surprise draw. He previously won a BMW 650i Gran Coupe in 2016 and a BMW F 750 GS motorbike in 2021, making him one of the promotion’s rare multiple-time winners. A father of three, Nasrollah works as a private driver for a family in Abu Dhabi. Reacting to his latest win, he thanked Dubai Duty Free and shared his hope of winning again in the future.
