Eight teams compete in T20 format across UAE in September
DUBAI: Cricket fans in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are in for a treat this September, as the 17th edition of the Asia Cup returns in T20 format.
Scheduled between September 9 and 28, 2025, the tournament will feature eight teams, with all matches to be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
India and Pakistan have been drawn in Group A, setting the stage for a series of high-voltage encounters.
As officially confirmed by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), the UAE will be the sole host of Asia Cup 2025 following political disagreements that prevented India from playing in Pakistan. While specific venues are yet to be finalised, Dubai International Cricket Stadium is expected to host key matches.
Asia Cup 2025: Group A matches
Group A includes India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, with all teams facing each other once. The most anticipated clash – India vs Pakistan – is set for Sunday, September 14.

The top two teams will qualify for the Super Four, where each side plays again in a round-robin format. Should India and Pakistan both qualify, they will meet again on Sunday, September 21, and potentially in the final on September 28.
