UAE unveils revised match timings for Asia Cup 2025
Dubai to host key matches including India vs Pakistan clash
DUBAI – The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially revised the timings for the Asia Cup 2025, set to be staged in the United Arab Emirates from 9 to 28 September.
The 15th edition of the tournament will be played in the T20I format, featuring eight teams split into two groups.
What has changed?
According to the new schedule, 18 of the 19 matches will now begin at 6:30 PM local time in the UAE, shifting half an hour later than originally planned. This change corresponds to 7:30 PM in Pakistan and 8 PM in India. The decision was made in consideration of weather conditions and to provide a more convenient viewing experience for fans.

The only exception is the UAE versus Oman fixture in Abu Dhabi on 15 September, which will be a day game starting at 4:30 PM local time. The same day will also see Sri Lanka face Hong Kong in Dubai under lights at 6:30 PM.
Asia Cup 2025
The tournament opener is scheduled for 9 September at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, where Afghanistan will take on Hong Kong. The much-anticipated India versus Pakistan encounter is set for 14 September in Dubai at 6:30 PM.
The group stage features Pakistan, India, UAE and Oman in Group A, while Group B comprises Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. Following the group matches, the Super Four stage will be played between 20 and 26 September, with the grand final set for 28 September in Dubai. A reserve day is in place on 29 September.
The revised timings ensure that fans across the region can follow evening fixtures with greater ease. Organisers said the adjustment would also help minimise potential weather-related disruptions during the tournament. Matches will alternate between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, giving cricket enthusiasts in both cities the chance to experience the action.
