Royal Air Maroc expands fleet with 13 Boeing 737-8 aircraft from Dubai
New jets to boost connectivity across Africa and Europe in 2027
DUBAI – Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd has announced a significant long-term lease agreement with Royal Air Maroc for 13 new Boeing 737-8 aircraft, scheduled for delivery in 2027.
This deal builds on a previous lease of two Boeing 737-8 aircraft delivered to the Moroccan carrier in 2025, marking a continued collaboration between the Dubai company and the airline.
The expansion supports Royal Air Maroc’s strategic plans to strengthen connectivity across Africa and Europe.
Fleet expansion
Firoz Tarapore, Chief Executive Officer of DAE, said the partnership reflects the airline’s growing role in Africa’s tourism and business sectors. “We look forward to seeing these new Boeing 737-8 aircraft enter the fleet, and to continuing to support Royal Air Maroc on their future fleet requirements,” he added.
Operational benefits
Abdelhamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc, highlighted that the new aircraft would enhance network development and operational efficiency. The jets will allow the airline to open new routes, increase flight frequencies, and meet rising passenger demand. “This agreement is fully aligned with Royal Air Maroc’s strategic ambition to become a leading global connector,” Addou said.
DAE’s fleet growth
Dubai Aerospace Enterprise currently owns, manages, or is committed to owning or managing around 750 aircraft, including 237 Boeing models. The company plans further expansion to meet growing global market demand and strengthen its position as a major aircraft lessor.
