Programmes span engineering, pilots and corporate roles
DUBAI – flydubai will host its UAE National Careers Open Day on 16th August at the flydubai Campus in Dubai, inviting UAE nationals to explore career opportunities with one of the region's fastest-growing airlines.
The event will showcase the carrier's specialised training and development programmes designed for Emirati talent while offering insights into careers across the aviation industry. It reflects flydubai's continued commitment to developing the national workforce and supporting the UAE's vision of creating meaningful career pathways in one of the country's most dynamic sectors.
Career pathways
The UAE National Careers Open Day will give candidates the opportunity to meet flydubai's recruitment and talent development teams, learn more about the aviation industry and explore programmes that equip UAE nationals with the skills and experience needed for long-term careers.
Opportunities available include:
- Engineering Apprentice Programme (AMEL)
- Flight Dispatcher Programme
- Pilot Training Programmes, including the Ab Initio and Second Officer programmes
- UAE National Graduate Programmes
- Development opportunities across operational and corporate functions
As flydubai continues to expand its operations, the airline is investing significantly in developing its in-house capabilities and building a strong pipeline of Emirati talent to support its growth plans.

The carrier currently operates a modern fleet of 97 aircraft and has more than 300 aircraft on order, creating long-term career opportunities across engineering, flight operations, airport operations, commercial, technology, finance, human resources and other business functions.

The Careers Open Day is aimed at UAE nationals interested in building careers in aviation, including recent graduates, students and early-career professionals seeking opportunities with one of the region's leading airlines. The event highlights flydubai's focus on nurturing Emirati talent through structured learning, mentorship and career development programmes.

UAE nationals interested in attending the Careers Open Day can register between 31 July and 15 August. Early registration is required as places are limited.
Fleet expansion
flydubai has built a network of more than 120 destinations across 58 countries and is served by a fleet of 97 Boeing 737 aircraft. The airline employs nearly 7,000 people, including around 2,000 pilots and engineers.
The carrier has also placed orders for 30 Boeing Dreamliners, 150 Airbus A321neo aircraft and 75 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, scheduled for delivery over the next decade. The expansion is expected to diversify its fleet, strengthen its long-term growth strategy and create thousands of additional job opportunities across the airline.
