DUBAI – Dubai’s iconic indoor rainforest, The Green Planet Dubai, is set to host a nature-inspired Easter celebration, offering families an immersive alternative to traditional festivities.

Designed to bring together entertainment, education and exploration, the experience unfolds within a lush tropical biodome, creating a unique seasonal setting in the heart of the city.

Running from Friday, 3 April to Sunday, 5 April, the three-day programme transforms the attraction’s four-level ecosystem into a vibrant hub of activity. Home to more than 3,000 plants and animals, the biodome will serve as the backdrop for a curated line-up of interactive experiences tailored for children and families.

Jungle Hunt

At the centre of the celebration is a rainforest-themed Easter egg hunt, reimagined within an indoor jungle environment. Children will navigate through dense greenery and winding pathways, following clues to locate hidden eggs placed across different levels of the biodome.

Each discovery reveals a surprise, building anticipation towards a grand finale featuring a golden egg. The final reward unlocks a selection of exclusive gifts, turning the activity into an engaging quest rather than a conventional hunt. The format encourages exploration of the biodome’s diverse habitats, blending play with discovery.

Family activities

Beyond the hunt, the programme introduces a range of creative and interactive experiences designed to engage visitors of all ages. Nature-inspired arts and crafts sessions form a key part of the offering, including activities such as painting wooden Easter eggs.

Live entertainment will also feature prominently throughout the weekend, with puppet shows, magic performances and face painting adding to the festive atmosphere. Roaming performers and interactive moments are set to enhance visitor engagement, ensuring a dynamic experience across the venue.

Seasonal food and beverage options will be available, curated specifically for the Easter celebration. In addition, families can expect gift hampers and surprise giveaways, further enriching the experience.

Wildlife encounters

A key highlight remains the opportunity for guests to interact closely with the rainforest’s diverse wildlife. Visitors can observe species such as sloths, birds and reptiles within carefully recreated natural habitats, adding an educational dimension to the festivities.

The attraction’s design allows for an immersive journey through different layers of the rainforest ecosystem, from forest floor to canopy. This structure enables visitors to experience biodiversity in a controlled indoor environment, reinforcing the connection between entertainment and conservation.

As part of the seasonal offering, a special resident rate of Dh129 has been introduced, providing accessible entry for families seeking a distinctive Easter outing.
