Watch: Ras Al Khaimah’s NYE 2026 fireworks and drone show
The emirate aims to secure a new Guinness World Record
DUBAI – Ras Al Khaimah ushered in 2026 with a large-scale New Year’s Eve fireworks and drone spectacle, with live streaming allowing audiences to watch the celebrations without travelling to the emirate.
The event features a visually striking countdown featuring fireworks, drones and laser effects along the northern emirate’s coastline.
15-minute sky show
The main midnight display runs for around 15 minutes and stretches across six kilometres from Marjan Island to Al Hamra. The show is part of Ras Al Khaimah’s attempt to secure a new Guinness World Records title with the launch of the largest single firework ever.
Drone formations
More than 2,300 drones, including pyro and laser-equipped units, created synchronised aerial formations during the countdown. One of the highlights was a phoenix formed in the sky, symbolising renewal and progress as 2026 began.
