ABU DHABI – If you’re planning to compete in the 17th Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, time is running out – registration has already reached 80 percent capacity.
The world’s premier jiu-jitsu event is returning to Mubadala Arena, Zayed Sports City, from 12 to 22 November 2025, promising 11 days of top-tier competition, culture, and camaraderie.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the championship continues to boost Abu Dhabi’s reputation as the global capital of jiu-jitsu and a leading hub for international sport and tourism.
The tournament will gather elite athletes and champions from across continents, offering them a stage to compete, connect, and celebrate the sport’s values of discipline, respect, and unity.

The Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship is regarded as the pinnacle of the global jiu-jitsu calendar. It attracts thousands of participants – from black belts to promising newcomers – all vying for international recognition and ranking points.

How to register
According to the organising committee, registration for the 2025 edition is filling up rapidly. With 80% of available slots already taken, athletes are being urged to complete their entries as soon as possible to secure a place.
Participants can register through the official UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) website, where detailed guidelines on eligibility, divisions, and weight categories are provided. Once registered, athletes will receive confirmation and access to event updates, logistics, and competition schedules.
The organisers have highlighted that demand this year is higher than ever, with many categories expected to reach full capacity in the coming weeks. Early registration also ensures participants have ample time to prepare travel and accommodation in Abu Dhabi ahead of the championship.
