DUBAI – SLS The Red Sea has officially opened on Shura Island, bringing the brand's signature mix of theatrical flair, design-led spaces, and high-energy social environments to one of the world’s most forward-looking regenerative tourism destinations.
The resort sits at the centre of Shura Island, surrounded by sugar-white sands, crystal-clear waters, and lush tropical greenery, blending immersive dining, wellness, and entertainment within a uniquely ecological setting.
Location and access
Positioned just 20 minutes from Red Sea International Airport by boat or seaplane and 25 minutes by car, the resort offers immediate access to Shura Island’s developing hospitality ecosystem.
Guests are steps away from coral reefs, marine reserves, the island’s yacht marina, and retail offerings, while Shura Links – the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s first island golf course – is only five minutes away.
Design
Conceived by Foster + Partners, the resort’s distinctive coral bloom buildings are connected by sinuous pathways, set against vibrant landscaping.
Playful design touches, including mischievous monkeys and the debut of the iconic SLS duck in Saudi Arabia, enhance the immersive experience.
Rooms and villas
SLS The Red Sea features 150 luxurious guestrooms: 117 rooms, 18 suites, and 15 private villas. Rooms are appointed with natural textures, bold detailing, and elevated in-room amenities including Ortigia Ambra Nera bath products, embroidered SLS robes, and premium non-alcoholic spirits.
The resort’s villas offer expansive beachfront settings with private pools, terraces, and dedicated living spaces, placing guests in the heart of the resort’s rhythm.
