DUBAI – Dubai’s homegrown ride-hailing app Zed has reached a major milestone after partnering with Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) and National Taxi (NT).

The expansion brings Zed’s fleet to 10,764 vehicles, now covering the fleets of Dubai’s top three taxi operators. This represents more than 80% of all taxis in the Emirate, significantly strengthening Zed’s position as a leading local mobility platform.

The collaboration marks a defining step in reshaping Dubai’s transport landscape. For riders, the benefits include faster estimated times of arrival, fewer booking cancellations, and broader coverage across the city, even in less-served areas. For drivers, the partnership opens greater opportunities to deliver journeys built on trust, consistency, and customer satisfaction.

Strengthening mobility

“With over 25 years of experience in the mobility sector through our legacy business, Zed and Kabi by Al Ghurair have a deep understanding of Dubai’s commuting behaviours and cultural expectations,” said Badr Al Ghurair, CEO of Zed. “This collaboration with DTC and National Taxi further strengthens Dubai’s mobility ecosystem while ensuring that our communities have access to the reliable, everyday transport solutions they deserve.”

DTC and National Taxi drivers, who already serve millions of passengers annually, are now accessible through Zed’s intuitive app. This integration allows commuters to book trusted services through one consolidated platform, enhancing convenience and choice for everyday journeys.

Tech-led platform

Zed has positioned itself as a technology-first ride-hailing service. It recently introduced a 100% punctuality guarantee for pre-scheduled premium rides, giving customers reassurance that drivers will arrive on time. The company is also preparing new features, including loyalty rewards, digital wallets, and lifestyle partnerships designed to increase value and convenience for riders.

Abhinav Patwa, Executive Vice President and Head of Zed, said: “Partnering with Dubai’s most established taxi fleets enables us to deliver scale and reliability at a whole new level, while staying true to a customer-centric and community-first approach. We believe mobility should serve the city, not the other way around.”

Driving smart city goals

Zed’s rapid expansion also supports Dubai’s Smart City 2025 target, led by the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), which aims to shift 80% of taxi bookings to e-hailing platforms. Through its app-only model and integration of electric and hybrid taxis, Zed is contributing to a cleaner, more efficient transport ecosystem.

“By aligning with the emirate’s vision for future-ready mobility, Zed is proud to be part of Dubai’s transport transformation,” Patwa added.

Zed is available for download on both iOS and Android, offering riders in Dubai a smarter, faster, and more reliable way to travel.
