UAE travel: Etihad unveils new routes across Europe and Asia
Seasonal services to boost regional travel during peak holiday periods
ABU DHABI: Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is further broadening its global network with the addition of three new destinations: Krakow, Salalah, and Kazan.
The announcement underscores the airline’s continued focus on connecting Abu Dhabi with culturally rich and travel-worthy cities across Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
The new routes include seasonal flights to Kazan, Russia starting from December 4, 2025, and to Krakow, Poland and Salalah, Oman from summer 2026. The additions follow recent launches to destinations like Prague, Warsaw, Sochi, and Atlanta, with 13 more routes expected to be introduced before the year ends.
New city: Krakow
Flights to Krakow, Etihad’s second destination in Poland, will commence on 16 June 2026. Operating three times weekly until 5 September 2026, the seasonal service offers travellers access to one of Europe’s most atmospheric cities.
From Gothic towers and Renaissance palaces to the historic Main Square and Wawel Castle, Krakow’s charm is unmistakable. The city also serves as a gateway to the Tatra Mountains.
Summer in Salalah
Launching on 21 May 2026, Salalah transforms into a lush retreat during the Khareef monsoon season. Mist-shrouded hills, flowing waterfalls, and cool breezes make it a popular summer escape for Gulf families and a refreshing discovery for international travellers. The new flights provide direct access to this unique Arabian destination.
Winter in Kazan
Kazan flights begin on 4 December 2025. Known for its cultural fusion, Kazan blends Tatar and Russian heritage. Landmarks like the Kazan Kremlin, ornate mosques, cathedrals, and modern sporting venues define the city's growing status as a cultural and tech hub.
With these additions, Etihad’s network now spans over 90 global destinations, offering seamless travel through Zayed International Airport and award-winning service on its modern fleet.
