What is UAE national pledge and how can citizens and residents sign it online today
Online platform enables quick signing and instant personalised appreciation certificate
DUBAI – A new national digital initiative is encouraging citizens and residents across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to express loyalty and belonging through an online pledge platform.
The Pledge and Commitment initiative, launched in May by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, drew more than 4,800 participants from across communities. The programme has since been extended to a multilingual platform. It aims to strengthen unity, civic responsibility and national identity, reflecting shared values across the country.
In a previous post on X, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had said: “The UAE flag is a symbol of strength and pride.”

Core pillars
At the heart of the initiative are four pillars: promoting coexistence and unity; drawing inspiration from the President’s leadership values; strengthening civic responsibility and national identity; and expressing gratitude for the country’s achievements.
The pledge itself affirms loyalty to the UAE leadership, recognising His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as a symbol of security, stability and progress.

It also highlights a shared commitment to passing national values to future generations while contributing to continued national development in a diverse society.
How to sign
Residents and citizens can complete the pledge in minutes by visiting pledge.ae, reading the declaration and signing digitally. The platform is designed to be multilingual, ensuring accessibility across communities in the UAE.
Once submitted, participants receive a personalised Certificate of Appreciation, which can be downloaded and shared as a digital keepsake.
The initiative encourages broad participation from individuals and institutions, reinforcing national unity through simple online engagement. It reflects a growing movement combining community participation and digital accessibility to strengthen belonging across the country.
