Etihad Airways unveils Destination Collection and LANEIGE skincare for Business class
Collectible kits inspired by global destinations across expanding network
ABU DHABI – Etihad Airways has unveiled a new inflight concept for its Business cabin, combining design-led amenity kits with a premium skincare collaboration aimed at enhancing passenger comfort at altitude.
The airline confirmed that its newly introduced “Destination Collection” will be rolled out progressively across its global network this summer, marking a shift towards more personalised and experience-driven travel.
The collection introduces 14 collectible amenity kits, each inspired by destinations within Etihad’s expanding route map. Developed in-house, the initiative reflects the airline’s broader strategy to integrate storytelling and design into the passenger journey, while reinforcing its identity as a premium carrier rooted in Abu Dhabi.
Design focus
At the centre of the rollout is a carefully curated range of amenity bags available in two formats: Pouch and Slim. Each design comes in seven distinct colourways, representing different cities served by the airline. The exterior features embossed destination names and geographic coordinates, while interiors are finished with bespoke artwork inspired by each location.
Every bag also carries a serial number from one to seven, indicating its place within the collection. The structured approach introduces a sense of rarity and collectability, encouraging repeat engagement among frequent travellers.

The first phase of the rollout highlights seven cities: Abu Dhabi, Krabi, Mumbai, Lisbon, Addis Ababa, Calgary and Atlanta. Some of these, including Krabi, Addis Ababa and Atlanta, were launched by the airline in 2025, while Calgary is scheduled to join the network in October 2026.
A standout feature within the collection is the Abu Dhabi Edition, marked as number one. This design pays tribute to the airline’s home city and incorporates imagery of the Zayed National Museum, reflecting the capital’s cultural ambition and ongoing development.
Collectible concept
The introduction of collectible inflight items builds on Etihad’s earlier success with its First cabin “Finjans”, small Arabic coffee cups designed to represent global destinations. Those items were distributed randomly onboard, creating a similar sense of discovery and exclusivity.
With the Destination Collection, the airline extends this concept into Business class, ensuring that each flight carries a mixed assortment of designs. Passengers are therefore likely to encounter a different version on each journey, reinforcing the idea of travel as an evolving and curated experience.
Each kit continues to include core comfort essentials such as an eyeshade, earplugs and a dental kit. However, the addition of premium skincare products marks a notable upgrade to the onboard offering.
Skincare partnership
In parallel with the new amenity kits, Etihad has announced a collaboration with LANEIGE, introducing a selection of hydration-focused products into its Business cabin. The partnership represents the first time the Korean beauty brand has been integrated into an airline amenity programme, with Etihad confirmed as the exclusive inflight partner.
The skincare range has been selected to address common challenges associated with air travel, including dehydration and fatigue caused by cabin conditions. Products included in the kits feature the Water Sleeping Mask, formulated with hyaluronic acid and squalane, and the Lip Sleeping Mask, which uses berry extracts alongside murumuru seed and shea butter for intensive hydration. A hand cream is also included to support skin recovery during long-haul journeys.
The collaboration aligns with the airline’s broader Etihad Wellbeing initiative, which focuses on enhancing passenger comfort through a combination of product innovation, onboard environment and service design. Previous elements of the programme have included the introduction of a Quiet Cabin concept and adjustments to inflight dining and ambience.
Wellbeing strategy
The integration of skincare into the inflight experience reflects a wider trend across premium aviation, where airlines are increasingly focusing on wellness as a differentiator. Etihad’s approach combines scientific skincare formulations with design-led presentation, aiming to create a seamless experience from boarding to arrival.
According to the airline, the inclusion of clinically developed hydration products is intended to help passengers maintain comfort throughout the flight and arrive in a more refreshed state. The emphasis on recovery and moisture retention addresses the effects of cabin pressure and low humidity, particularly on long-haul routes.
Etihad has also highlighted that bringing the design process in-house allowed its teams to create a collection that aligns closely with the airline’s brand identity. This internal development model is expected to support future iterations of the collection, with additional destinations and designs planned in subsequent phases.
As the rollout progresses, new cities will be introduced into the collection annually, expanding both the visual and experiential scope of the offering. The evolving nature of the kits, combined with the rotating onboard selection, positions the initiative as an ongoing feature rather than a one-time launch.
Passengers travelling in Business class can expect the new kits to appear gradually across routes in the coming months, with variations depending on aircraft and destination.
