DUBAI – Etihad Airways is giving travellers the chance to explore new destinations with discounts of up to 40 percent.

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier announced special fares on six destinations – Chiang Mai, Krabi, Tunis, Algiers, Cambodia, and Sumatra. An additional 10 percent saving will be offered on one featured destination each day until the promotion ends on 9th September.

The exclusive deals are available at Etihad’s stand at The Galleria, Al Maryah Island, located on the ground floor near the south entrance.

The promotion highlights the airline’s continued focus on value for passengers while expanding its global reach.

Boosting connectivity

Alongside its latest fare offers, Etihad is pressing ahead with significant investments in passenger experience. The airline confirmed plans to roll out high-speed Wi-Fi of more than 100 megabits per second across its entire fleet within the next two to three years. Chief executive Antonoaldo Neves said the move would ensure customers enjoy “best-in-class” inflight connectivity comparable to leading carriers worldwide.

Etihad is also exploring cryptocurrency payment options, keeping pace with evolving traveller preferences and tapping into the tech-savvy market segment.

Record results

The promotional campaign follows a record-breaking first half of 2025 for Etihad Airways. Profit after tax climbed 32 percent year-on-year to Dh1.1 billion ($306 million), supported by a 17 per cent increase in passenger numbers to 10.2 million. The airline also carried more than 20 million passengers over a rolling 12-month period for the first time.

Etihad’s revenue rose 16 percent to Dh13.5 billion ($3.7 billion), while its operating fleet surpassed 100 aircraft, including the delivery of Airbus A350s, A321LRs, and the reintroduction of A380s. With new routes launched this year and strong passenger demand, the airline continues to position Abu Dhabi as one of the most connected cities in the world.
