Qatar Airways expands Dubai flights
Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 to operate expanded services
DUBAI – Qatar Airways is set to significantly increase its operations between Hamad International Airport in Doha and Dubai International Airport, expanding frequencies from two to five daily services starting today.
The phased increase is being introduced to match growing demand and provide passengers with greater flexibility for travel between Qatar and the UAE.
Once fully implemented, the airline will operate up to 35 weekly flights on the route, using Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft.
Phased growth
Under the phased rollout, the existing two daily flights will increase to three daily services effective today, marking the first stage of expansion. A fourth daily frequency will be introduced from 15 June, further strengthening connectivity between the two cities. A fifth daily flight is scheduled to be reinstated during the summer season, completing the full schedule enhancement.
The step-by-step increase is designed to ensure operational efficiency while offering passengers improved choice, more convenient timings and smoother connections across Qatar Airways’ global network.
Network expansion
Qatar Airways has been steadily rebuilding its Middle East network, currently serving over 20 destinations across the region. The airline resumed operations to Dubai (DXB) and Sharjah (SHJ) in April, followed by the restart of flights to Abu Dhabi (AUH) in May. Building on this momentum, Qatar Airways is continuing the phased restoration and expansion of its global network, which is expected to reach more than 160 destinations by the summer.
