UAE weather alert: Rising temperatures and dusty conditions expected this week

DUBAI – The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast generally fair weather conditions across the UAE over the next five days, accompanied by a gradual rise in temperatures and intermittent cloud cover in eastern regions.
According to the forecast covering Tuesday, 5 May to Saturday, 9 May 2026, skies will remain mostly clear, turning partly cloudy eastward during afternoons. Temperatures are expected to increase steadily during this period, while winds remain light to moderate, shifting from northwesterly to southeasterly at speeds of 10-20 km/h, occasionally reaching up to 30 km/h. Sea conditions are predicted to stay slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
By Wednesday, humidity levels are set to increase over some coastal areas, particularly during early hours. Conditions will otherwise remain fair, with clouds forming in the east by afternoon. Winds may freshen at times, with speeds between 10-25 km/h and gusts up to 35 km/h, while seas remain slight.
On Thursday, the weather is expected to stay fair with occasional cloud cover. Winds will continue at light to moderate levels, becoming fresh at intervals, maintaining speeds of 10-25 km/h and peaking at 35 km/h. The Arabian Gulf may see slight to moderate sea conditions, while the Oman Sea remains slight.
Friday will bring a slight and gradual decrease in temperatures. Winds are forecast to strengthen, particularly over the sea, reaching up to 40 km/h. The Arabian Gulf may become moderate to rough by afternoon, while the Oman Sea could turn slight to moderate.
By Saturday, dusty conditions are likely at times due to fresh northwesterly winds, especially over exposed land areas. Wind speeds are expected to reach up to 40 km/h, raising dust and sand. Sea conditions will become moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
