DUBAI’s Al Khail Gate has officially become home to a new round-the-clock paid parking zone.

Parkin, the city’s leading public parking operator, has launched Zone 365N at this residential area, with a daily flat rate of Dh30.

This new zone marks a shift for drivers accustomed to free parking on Sundays, as charges will apply every day of the week.

Flat and hourly rates

Motorists can opt to pay the flat Dh30 daily rate or choose from hourly pricing, depending on the duration of their stay. Both peak and off-peak hours carry the same rates:

  • 1 hour – Dh4
  • 2 hours – Dh8
  • 3 hours – Dh10
  • 4 hours – Dh12
  • 5 hours – Dh14
  • 6 hours – Dh16
  • 7 hours – Dh18
  • 8 hours – Dh20
  • 9 hours – Dh22
  • 24 hours – Dh30

The charges apply 24/7, including Sundays, diverging from several other zones in Dubai where weekend parking is free.

Parkin expansion drive

Earlier this year, Parkin added two new zones in Mirdif, which are exempt from charges on Sundays and public holidays. These zones introduced variable pricing models, with rates differing based on time of day. The company also launched monthly subscriptions, allowing users to register up to three vehicles under one traffic file – though only one can be active at a time.

Parkin has significantly expanded its network in 2025, adding over 10,000 parking spaces. It recorded Dh273.3 million in revenue in Q1, up 27 per cent compared to the same period in 2024. This figure excludes the earnings from newly introduced variable pricing and premium area fee hikes.
