DUBAI – Dubai’s leading paid public parking operator, Parkin Company PJSC, has announced a strategic partnership with SP Corporation Car Parking Management LLC, known as Secure Parking, to accelerate the rollout of barrierless parking systems across the UAE.

The collaboration signals a major push towards digitised mobility infrastructure, with both companies aiming to reshape how motorists access and pay for parking services. The move follows a successful deployment at City Walk and reflects growing demand for frictionless, technology-driven urban mobility solutions.

The alliance is expected to unlock a pipeline of more than 60,000 parking spaces across the UAE, marking one of the region’s largest barrierless parking expansion initiatives currently underway.

Digital shift

The partnership builds on an existing implementation at City Walk in Dubai, where a fully integrated barrierless parking system is already operational. The site has become a flagship example of how advanced vehicle recognition technology and remote payment systems can eliminate traditional entry barriers and reduce congestion.

Barrierless parking removes the need for physical gates, allowing vehicles to enter and exit seamlessly while automatically tracking usage. Through the Parkin app, motorists receive real-time confirmations, tariff details, and SMS notifications, alongside a structured grace period for payments.

This system not only improves traffic flow but also enhances the customer experience by reducing waiting times and offering greater transparency. City Walk, as a high-profile urban destination, has demonstrated the scalability of such solutions in dense city environments.

Combined scale

Parkin currently manages approximately 229,000 paid parking spaces across Dubai under a long-term concession agreement and processed more than 70 million transactions in the first half of 2025 alone. The figures highlight both the scale of its operations and the rapid evolution of Dubai’s mobility ecosystem.

Secure Parking brings more than two decades of operational experience in the UAE, alongside a global footprint spanning over 1.2 million parking spaces across 13 countries. Its expertise in next-generation parking infrastructure complements Parkin’s digital platform capabilities and regulatory integration.

Together, the companies aim to position themselves at the forefront of smart mobility transformation in the region, combining local scale with international operational knowledge. The collaboration reflects a broader shift towards fully digitised urban infrastructure, where efficiency, automation and real-time data play a central role.

Valet integration

Beyond barrierless parking, the partnership will extend into valet services, creating a unified digital ecosystem that integrates both self-parking and premium parking options. Customers will be able to pay for Secure Parking valet services directly through the Parkin app and digital wallet.

Secure Parking will also operate selected Parkin-branded valet locations, applying its global standards to enhance service quality and operational consistency. The integration enables a seamless parking journey, from entry to premium services, supported by real-time payments and improved service delivery.

By incorporating valet operations into its digital platform, Parkin is expanding its offering beyond conventional parking management, reinforcing its role within the broader smart mobility landscape.

Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, said the partnership combines the scale of Dubai’s digital parking platform with proven global expertise, accelerating the transition towards fully barrierless infrastructure. He added that the collaboration supports the UAE’s smart city ambitions and sets new benchmarks for urban parking systems.

Dr. Navin Valrani, Group Managing Director of Al Shirawi Group and CEO of Secure Parking UAE, described barrierless parking as an essential component of modern urban infrastructure. He noted that the partnership provides an opportunity to deliver digital mobility services at scale while enhancing value for customers.

Barrierless parking is increasingly recognised as a foundational layer of smart city development, enabling real-time analytics, dynamic space allocation and interoperability across networks. Through this collaboration, both companies aim to establish a scalable framework for integrated public and private parking solutions across the UAE, driven by digital innovation and operational efficiency.
