UAE air defences intercept two ballistic missiles, three UAVs launched from Iran
Three moderate injuries reported after latest aerial attack attempt
DUBAI – The UAE Ministry of Defence announced that the country’s air defence systems intercepted two ballistic missiles and three UAVs launched from Iran on Friday, resulting in three moderate injuries.
The latest interceptions come amid continued Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates, with defence systems remaining on high alert to counter aerial threats and safeguard national security. Authorities said the operations were carried out successfully as part of ongoing defensive measures across the country.
Since the beginning of the Iranian attacks, UAE air defence systems have intercepted 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles and 2,263 UAVs.

The ministry confirmed that the total number of injuries has now reached 230 cases involving multiple nationalities. Those affected include Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, Tunisian, Moroccan and Russian nationals.
Authorities also confirmed that the total number of martyrs has reached three, including one Moroccan civilian contracted with the armed forces.
Defence readiness
The total number of civilian fatalities now stands at 10, involving Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, Indian and Egyptian nationals.
The Ministry of Defence reaffirmed that it remains fully prepared and ready to address any threats and respond firmly to all attempts aimed at undermining the security of the state. It added that all necessary measures continue to be taken to safeguard the UAE’s sovereignty, security and stability, while protecting national interests and capabilities.
