DUBAI’s biggest shopping event of the summer is reaching its grand finale, and bargain hunters have just one weekend left to make the most of it.
The Great Dubai Summer Sale’s final edition runs till Sunday 10 August, offering discounts of up to 90% across more than 1,500 stores citywide.
Part of the annual Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) festival, the weekend promises huge savings on top fashion, beauty, homeware, electronics, and children’s essentials. The sale marks the close of this year’s DSS, which began on 18 July and will pave the way for the upcoming Back to School promotions.
The final sale is taking place across Dubai’s biggest malls and shopping destinations, including Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, Dubai Festival City Mall, Ibn Battuta Mall, The Outlet Village, BurJuman Mall, Nakheel Mall, and City Walk. Additional venues such as Mercato, WAFI, Dubai Hills Mall, Festival Plaza, and Dubai Outlet Mall are also participating.
What’s on offer?
Shoppers can expect a range of deals, from buy-one-get-one-free offers to deep discounts of up to 90% on leading international and regional brands.
Fashion enthusiasts will find offers from AllSaints, American Eagle Outfitters, Bloomingdale’s, Diesel, H&M, Harvey Nichols, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Les Benjamins, Mango, NEXT, Oakley, SuperDry, Tezenis, and Ted Baker.
Beauty and skincare brands are also joining in, with Areej, Aveda, Bath and Body Works, Boots, Clinique, Elemis, Kiehl’s, KIKO Milano, MAC, Watsons, and Yves Rocher cutting prices by up to 90%.
Homeware shoppers can enjoy up to 75% off or mix-and-match deals at Ace, Art of Living, Bloomingdale’s Home, Crate and Barrel, Flying Tiger, Home Centre, Homes R Us, Jashanmal, MOOD, OTAQ Home, Sedar Emirates, The White Company, The Red Carpet, The One, and Western Furniture.
For children’s products, discounts of up to 70% are on offer from Carters, Disney, GO Sport, Lucky Kids, Mamas & Papas, Monsoon Children, Mothercare, and Petit Bateau.
Technology and gadget lovers can pick up devices and accessories with up to 90% off at E City, Geekay, Harman House, and Virgin Megastore.
Where’s the fun?
Beyond the retail rush, Dubai’s entertainment venues are also buzzing this weekend. Modesh World, open at Dubai World Trade Centre until 28 August, offers family-friendly attractions including themed zones, rides, workshops, and appearances by beloved characters Modesh and Dana. Tickets cost Dh150 per playing person and Dh75 for non-playing guests, with discounts for Esaad and Al Saada cardholders. Entry is free for people of determination and their caregivers.
For children’s activities, summer camps are still running until the end of the month. These include the Burst of Imagination camp at Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children from 4 to 15 August, offering art workshops with a local heritage focus; Bel Remaitha Summer Camp, featuring sports such as taekwondo and football; and daily science, nature, and technology workshops at Children’s City in Creek Park.
Great Dubai Summer Sale’s final weekend
The Great Dubai Summer Sale’s final weekend runs from Friday 8 August to Sunday 10 August at multiple malls and retail hubs across the city. Sale hours vary by location, so shoppers are advised to check individual mall websites for store-specific timings and offers.
Additionally, LEGOLAND Water Park’s Neon Nights continues this weekend, with a splash party featuring neon lights, lasers, and live shows every Saturday and Sunday from 7pm to 8pm, included in the day ticket price (Dh295 online, Dh330 at the gate). Other Summer Splash Fest activities run until 24 August, including poolside DJs, live shows, competitions, and food offers.
