Samsung launches Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, Watch8: Specs revealed, UAE pre-orders now open
New Flip7 entry model aims to attract first-time foldable buyers
DUBAI: Samsung has lifted the curtain on its next-generation foldables and smartwatches – the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Watch8 Series – during its global Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event.
Livestreamed from the US, the unveiling has confirmed a UAE rollout with devices now available for pre-order, while in-store availability begins from July 25.
The new releases showcase slimmer profiles, upgraded internals, and deeper integration of AI, including Google’s Gemini Live assistant. Samsung is pushing hard to expand its foldable market share, not just with power-packed flagships but also by introducing an entry-level Flip7 to make foldables more accessible.

Z Fold7 upgrades
The Galaxy Z Fold7 boasts the largest folding display in the lineup yet – an 8.0-inch QXGA+ main screen paired with a 6.5-inch FHD+ cover screen. At just 215g, it’s the lightest Fold ever. Its folded thickness is 8.9mm, while unfolded it measures only 4.2mm, making it also the slimmest Fold to date.
One of its standout improvements is the 200MP wide-angle rear camera, promising professional-grade shots in a foldable format. Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, with configurations going up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Notably, the new Fold no longer features a built-in S Pen slot, a change that may affect some long-time users.
Z Flip7 and Flip7 FE
The Galaxy Z Flip7 takes a leap forward in both style and function. The outer 4.1-inch Super AMOLED cover display now supports a 120Hz refresh rate, allowing for fluid interaction with apps, notifications, and the new Gemini Live AI assistant, which can pull itinerary details, weather-based fashion tips, or travel checklists with voice input.
On the inside, users get a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen powered by the Exynos 2500 processor, paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. A 50MP main camera has been introduced, complemented by a 4,300mAh battery for full-day usage.
To expand appeal, Samsung introduced a more budget-friendly Flip7 FE variant priced at Dh3,499, offering 128GB storage – an ideal entry point for those new to foldables.
Colour options for the Flip7 include Blue Shadow, Coral Red, Jet Black, and an online-exclusive Mint.
Watch8 Series highlights
The Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic bring significant health and performance upgrades. Both wearables are powered by a new 3nm Exynos W1000 chip, enabling smoother multitasking and improved power management. They ship with the latest Wear OS 6 paired with One UI 8 Watch.
Samsung has expanded the sensor suite to include a 3D Hall sensor (exclusive to the Classic variant), along with 64GB storage and robust protection: Sapphire Crystal glass, 5ATM + IP68 resistance, and MIL-STD-810H durability. Dual-frequency GPS is also supported, ideal for more accurate location tracking.
AI-enabled features
The Flip7’s outer display now serves as a direct interface for Gemini Live, Google’s AI assistant. Users can ask Gemini to fetch trip details from Samsung Wallet, prepare reminders, or even suggest restaurants and wardrobe options depending on their destination.
This intuitive AI integration makes advanced functionality more accessible, avoiding the complexity usually associated with AI systems. Samsung’s broader push to simplify AI comes as other brands, including Honor, Oppo, and Huawei, implement similar features.
Availability and prices in UAE
Pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Watch8 Series are live in the UAE starting July 9. Retail availability begins on July 25 at Samsung stores and partner retailers.
Galaxy Z Fold7 is priced from Dh7,599 for the base model (12GB RAM + 256GB). Higher configurations go up to Dh9,349. Colours available include Silver Shadow, Jet Black, Mint, and Blue Shadow.
Galaxy Z Flip7 starts at Dh4,299 (256GB), while the new Flip7 FE with 128GB storage is offered at Dh3,499.
Galaxy Watch8 Series begins at Dh1,299 for the base model.
