Samsung launches Galaxy S26 Series with smarter AI and faster charging
New chipset promises faster performance and improved efficiency
DUBAI – Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S26 Series, introducing what it describes as its most intuitive Galaxy AI experience to date.
The new line-up, comprising the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, is designed to simplify everyday tasks through deeper on-device intelligence. With upgraded hardware, enhanced cameras and proactive AI features, the company is positioning the devices as its third-generation AI smartphones.
Samsung said the latest models are engineered to handle complex tasks quietly in the background, allowing users to focus on results rather than processes. The announcement highlights the brand’s continued push to integrate artificial intelligence across performance, photography and personal productivity.
Performance boost
The Galaxy S26 Series is built on Samsung’s most powerful Galaxy S hardware so far. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, optimised for AI processing, energy efficiency and improved thermal control.
Samsung claims the devices are tuned for dependable all-day use. Super Fast Charging 3.0 is expected to reduce downtime significantly, delivering up to 75 percent battery charge in around 30 minutes, according to the company.
Camera upgrade
Photography and video capabilities receive a notable lift, particularly on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Wider apertures are designed to improve clarity and detail in low-light conditions, while the enhanced Nightography Video feature aims to keep footage vibrant in dim environments.
The upgraded Super Steady function now includes a horizontal lock option to improve framing stability during movement. Samsung has also expanded its built-in Galaxy AI editing suite. The improved Photo Assist tool allows users to describe edits in natural language, streamlining post-production directly on the device.
AI experience
Samsung is emphasising proactive, context-aware assistance across the S26 range. Features such as Now Nudge and Now Brief are intended to deliver timely suggestions and personalised reminders based on user behaviour.
The upgraded Circle to Search with Google adds improved multi-object recognition. Samsung has also refreshed Bixby, positioning it as a more conversational device agent capable of navigating and adjusting settings through natural language commands. Users will also have access to integrated AI agents including Gemini and Perplexity.
Privacy focus
Privacy protection is another major focus, led by the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s built-in Privacy Display. The technology controls how pixels disperse light so that on-screen content remains clear to the user while limiting visibility from side angles.
Customisable modes include Partial Screen Privacy for notifications and Maximum Privacy Protection for sensitive use. Additional safeguards operate in the background, including AI-powered Call Screening designed to identify unknown callers and summarise their intent.
Samsung said the Galaxy S26 Series reflects its ongoing effort to combine powerful hardware with adaptive artificial intelligence to streamline everyday smartphone use.
