Frontline Heroes Office marks World Mental Health Day
October initiatives across UAE boost national awareness on emotional health and resilience
ABU DHABI – On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, observed every year on 10 October by the World Health Organization, the Frontline Heroes Office reaffirmed that supporting mental health is a national priority, equal in importance to physical wellbeing.
The Office emphasised that this focus is especially vital for frontline heroes who dedicate themselves to protecting the community and ensuring its safety and welfare.
Wellbeing initiatives
The Office praised the Mental Health Month initiatives launched by Emirates Health Services (EHS) throughout October, describing them as a significant step in strengthening public awareness.
It noted that these activities play a vital role in embedding mental wellbeing as a key component of overall health, while also providing practical tools for prevention, treatment, and emotional resilience.
National vision
Highlighting the broader impact, the Office stated that these initiatives align with the UAE’s vision of fostering a cohesive and balanced society. By advancing human-centred and world-class health services, the country continues to establish itself as a global example of integrating mental health into national development and wellbeing strategies.
Sustainable support
The Frontline Heroes Office added that World Mental Health Day serves as a renewed opportunity to enhance psychological and social support programmes across all sectors. These efforts, it said, help ensure sustainable giving, maintain a positive spirit, and promote renewed energy among individuals.
The Office reaffirmed the UAE’s ongoing commitment to awareness, innovation, and resilience in building a mentally healthy and sustainable society.
