Manchester City brings football-themed café experience to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi
Giant outdoor screen promises lively match-day atmosphere
ABU DHABI – Manchester City is expanding its presence beyond the football pitch with the launch of an official café and lounge on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
The new venue will form part of Manchester City Residences by Ohana, a gated waterfront community along the Yas Canal. Designed as a year-round destination, the café will welcome both football supporters and visitors looking for a stylish place to relax, meet friends or enjoy a coffee.
The Manchester City Café and Lounge is expected to offer a modern setting where guests can watch live football, unwind throughout the day and experience a community atmosphere inspired by one of the world's biggest football clubs. Although an official opening date has not yet been announced, the venue is expected to open soon.
Match days
One of the café's biggest attractions will be its open-air terrace, featuring a giant screen for live Manchester City matches. The outdoor viewing area is expected to become a popular gathering spot for supporters looking to enjoy games in an energetic atmosphere.
Inside, the venue will feature contemporary interiors with football-inspired design, while both indoor and outdoor seating will cater to everything from morning coffee visits and casual meetings to extended match-day gatherings. Details of the food and drinks menu have not yet been revealed.
Manchester City Residences
The café will be located within Manchester City Residences, a development centred on sport, wellness and community living. The neighbourhood includes villas, townhouses, maisonettes and apartments, alongside landscaped walking, running and cycling paths.
The addition of the café is intended to complement the active lifestyle offered by the development by creating another shared space for residents and visitors. Whether guests are dedicated Manchester City supporters or simply curious about an official football club café, the venue promises a different experience from a typical coffee shop as Abu Dhabi continues to expand its food, beverage and lifestyle offerings.
