Airlines urge passengers to check updates before travelling
DUBAI/ABU DHABI – Flights across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are operating on a reduced schedule as regional developments continue to affect airspace across parts of the Middle East.
Major carriers have confirmed that limited services are running, while some routes remain suspended or adjusted due to operational restrictions.
Passengers planning to travel today (March 11) are advised to check their flight status before leaving for the airport. Airlines have urged travellers to rely only on official notifications and booking confirmations as schedules may change at short notice.
Airlines across the UAE have also introduced flexible policies for rebooking and refunds, particularly for passengers whose journeys were affected by disruptions.
Emirates
Dubai-based Emirates confirmed it is running a limited number of flights following the partial reopening of regional airspace. Travellers, particularly those transiting through Dubai, have been advised to verify their flight status through email alerts or the airline’s official website before travelling.
The airline continues to operate services to several destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and the Americas. Flights from Dubai are operating to cities including London, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Madrid and Vienna, as well as long-haul destinations such as New York, Boston, Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco and Seattle.
Services across Asia remain active with departures to cities such as Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul and Manila. Several routes across India are also running, including flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi.
Etihad Airways
Etihad Airways has resumed a limited schedule from Abu Dhabi to key global destinations. The airline confirmed that travellers should only head to the airport if they hold confirmed bookings or have been contacted directly regarding their flights.
Until March 19, Etihad is operating services to multiple destinations including London, New York, Toronto, Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, Rome, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne.
Routes across the Middle East, South Asia and Africa also remain active, including flights to Cairo, Riyadh, Jeddah, Islamabad, Karachi and Nairobi.

Low-cost carrier flydubai has resumed operations across its network but continues to operate a reduced schedule.
Passengers who booked flights between February 28 and March 31 are eligible to change their travel dates within 30 days of the original departure without penalties.
The airline warned that some routes may take longer than usual due to temporary rerouting around affected airspace. Travellers have been encouraged to check updates online, through the airline’s mobile application, or via customer support channels before travelling.
Air Arabia
Sharjah-based Air Arabia is also operating a limited number of flights from its hubs in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah.
Services currently cover destinations across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Routes include major cities in India, Pakistan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, along with destinations such as Athens, Milan-Bergamo and Istanbul.
The airline confirmed that passengers whose flights were cancelled earlier can rebook if they have not yet used modification or refund options.
What passengers need to know
Airlines across the UAE have introduced flexible travel options to assist passengers affected by the disruption.
Emirates has confirmed that travellers who booked flights between February 28 and March 31 can reschedule their journeys for travel before April 30 without change fees when rebooking through the airline or a travel agent. Refunds are also available for cancelled flights.
Etihad Airways is allowing passengers with tickets issued on or before February 28 for travel until March 21 to rebook onto flights operating until May 15 without additional charges.
flydubai passengers can move their booking within 30 days of the original departure date, while Air Arabia is offering one free date change within 15 days, full credit vouchers or refunds to the original payment method.
Airlines have also warned that flight schedules remain subject to operational approvals and changing airspace conditions. Travellers are strongly advised to check official airline updates before heading to the airport.
Other airlines
Several international carriers have also adjusted their schedules as regional developments continue to affect airspace across parts of the Middle East.
Qatar Airways has announced operating plans for March 12 and March 13, confirming a limited number of flights across its network. The airline released a full list of destinations scheduled to operate during the two-day period as services gradually stabilise.
Air India and Air India Express have increased connectivity between India and the UAE by adding 32 additional flights, helping accommodate travellers affected by cancellations and disruptions across regional routes.
Meanwhile, Gulf Air has resumed a small number of services from Dammam, with limited flights operating to London, Mumbai and Bangkok.
Some airlines have introduced cancellations as a precaution. Oman Air confirmed it has suspended flights to several regional destinations, including Amman, Dubai, Bahrain and Doha, among others.
British carrier British Airways has also cancelled flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, citing operational challenges linked to the ongoing situation in the region.
Indian airline IndiGo said it is running limited services to the Middle East and Europe on March 11, with passengers advised to monitor the airline’s official updates for the latest schedule changes.
Airlines across the region continue to review operations in response to airspace developments, with schedules subject to adjustment depending on safety assessments and operational approvals.
