Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez tie the knot in Portugal
Their five children attended the ceremony in Cascais
DUBAI – Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez have tied the knot, bringing a major new chapter to their relationship after nearly a decade together.
The couple married on Tuesday, August 11, in the Portuguese coastal resort of Cascais, near Lisbon, according to a photograph shared by Ronaldo on Instagram. Their five children also attended the ceremony.
Ronaldo, 41, confirmed the marriage by posting a picture of the couple's hands showing their wedding bands. The Portugal and Al-Nassr star captioned the photograph simply, “C (heart) G”.
A year after engagement
The wedding took place exactly one year after Rodriguez announced their engagement on Instagram. The 32-year-old influencer shared the news on August 11, 2025, following years of speculation over whether the couple would marry.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been together since 2017 and have built a family life that has frequently featured in the public spotlight. Their five children attended the wedding ceremony in Cascais, marking a family occasion for the couple.
Rodriguez has remained a prominent figure in Ronaldo's life, accompanying him at major football events and documenting aspects of their family life through social media and her Netflix reality series, I Am Georgina.
Ronaldo's football career
The marriage comes during another significant period in Ronaldo's career. The Portuguese forward currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr after previously representing some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.
Ronaldo also represented Portugal at the World Cup this summer. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner remains one of the most recognisable figures in world football, while his relationship with Rodriguez has attracted global attention well beyond the sport.
