Air Arabia’s 2025 awards and global rankings at a glance
CEO and affiliate airline also secure distinctions
SHARJAH – Air Arabia’s 2025 performance translated into a wide sweep of awards, rankings and formal recognitions across the aviation and business sectors, placing the airline and its leadership among the most cited names in low-cost travel during the year.
From industry trophies to data-driven global scorecards, the Sharjah-based carrier appeared repeatedly across regional and international honours lists tied to service quality, punctuality, corporate strength and executive influence.
The recognitions came from aviation award bodies, travel trade organisations, global airline rating platforms and regional business publishers, each measuring different aspects of performance and market standing.
Major industry trophies
Air Arabia secured two high-profile low-cost airline titles during 2025 from separate regional award platforms. The carrier was named Low-Cost Carrier of the Year at the Aviation Business Middle East Awards 2025, a long-running industry awards programme focused on airline performance, innovation, growth and operational delivery across the region.
During the same year, the airline also received the Low-Cost Airline of the Year honour at the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards 2025 for the Middle East. These awards are driven by travel trade voting and industry evaluation, highlighting airlines that show strong commercial performance and service delivery across distribution and tourism networks.
The dual recognition across two independent award bodies placed Air Arabia at the centre of the region’s low-cost category acknowledgements for the year.
Global airline rankings
In addition to trophy-based awards, Air Arabia featured in several international airline rankings built on performance metrics and comparative scoring models.
AirlineRatings.com included Air Arabia among its Top 20 Low-Cost Airlines for 2025, a global list that evaluates carriers on safety records, operational reliability, passenger feedback, fleet profile and value for money. The listing positioned the airline among leading budget operators across multiple continents.
AirHelp, which tracks airline reliability and passenger rights handling, ranked Air Arabia 38th worldwide in its annual global airline score. The AirHelp ranking blends on-time performance data, customer service responsiveness and effectiveness in handling compensation and claims cases. The methodology relies on operational statistics and traveller experience indicators, creating a combined service-performance benchmark.
These placements reflected how the airline measured up in global comparisons beyond regional award circuits.
Business and leadership honours
Recognition for Air Arabia in 2025 also extended into broader corporate and leadership categories. The airline was listed among the Top 100 Listed Companies 2025 by Forbes Middle East, a ranking that assesses publicly traded regional companies using financial results, market value and growth indicators.
The inclusion signalled the airline’s standing not only as an aviation brand but also as a listed corporate entity with measurable scale and financial performance.
At the leadership level, Group Chief Executive Officer Adel Al Ali was named among the 150 Most Influential Arabs 2025 by Arabian Business. The annual list highlights business and sector leaders across the Arab world and recognises influence, long-term leadership impact and industry contribution.
Affiliate and punctuality recognition
Awards and rankings during the year also covered Air Arabia’s affiliate operations. Fly Jinnah, the Pakistan-based low-cost airline backed by the Air Arabia Group, achieved a punctuality distinction after being ranked second in on-time performance by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority.
The ranking is based on regulator-tracked operational data covering flight schedule adherence across airlines operating in the country. The placement highlighted punctuality performance within a competitive domestic and regional operating environment.
Together, the 2025 honours connected Air Arabia’s name with low-cost category leadership, global airline scorecards, corporate strength listings and punctuality rankings across both parent and affiliate brands, with recognitions issued by industry juries, performance analysts and business publications throughout the year.
