Scam alert

The airline has advised passengers to confirm their bookings and check flight status online before heading to the airport.

Guests are encouraged to ensure that their contact details in their booking are up to date so they can receive schedule updates and operational notifications.

Tickets issued on or before February 28, 2026, with travel dates until March 21, may be rebooked free of charge on flights operating until May 15.

Refund requests for flights scheduled until March 21 can be submitted online or through travel agents. Passengers who booked their tickets through travel agencies are advised to contact their agents directly for assistance.

Etihad also noted that high call volumes may lead to longer response times and encouraged customers to use the airline’s online refund form where possible.

The airline has warned passengers about fraudulent social media accounts impersonating the airline and offering fake refund forms.

Etihad said it will never request passwords, one-time verification codes or payment details through social media channels, and travellers should rely only on official communication channels for updates and assistance.

Passenger and crew safety continues to remain the airline’s top operational priority while services operate only once all safety criteria are met.
