ABU DHABI’s Big Ticket draw kicked off the month of May with a celebratory bang as five lucky expats each walked away with Dh50,000 in the first weekly e-draw.
The winners hail from the UK, India, and Pakistan, bringing diverse representation to the latest round of fortunes.
This marks the beginning of a month packed with prizes, including a grand reward of Dh20 million up for grabs on 3rd June 2025. Big Ticket has lined up a series of e-draws every week through May, promising twenty winners in total, each claiming Dh50,000. Winners’ stories
Arun Mohan, a 36-year-old nurse from Kerala, India, currently based in Qatar, has been participating in Big Ticket draws as part of a group of 10 friends. After years of persistence, his efforts finally paid off. He received the winning call with great excitement and shared that the prize would be equally split among the group. Arun plans to send his portion to support his family in India and has no plans of halting his Big Ticket journey.
Another winner, Warren Deane, 60, originally from the United Kingdom, has been residing in the UAE for the past 38 years. Now a general manager, he moved to the Emirates at the age of 22, built his life and business here, and started participating in Big Ticket after a friend of his wife introduced him to it. Warren sensed something special when he received a call from the Big Ticket office. While not the grand prize, he was thrilled with the Dh50,000 win. Muhammad Ramzan Muhammad Rafique, a 34-year-old driver from Pakistan living in Ajman since 2010, purchased his very first Big Ticket – and struck gold. Although the call was in English, and communication was difficult, he understood the essence of the moment. With his family still residing in Pakistan, he sees this win as a life-changing opportunity. He plans to discuss future steps with his loved ones and encourages others to try their luck, just as he did.
Also among the winners is Sarangaraj Seran, a 48-year-old quay crane operator from Chennai, India, who has lived in Abu Dhabi for six years. He has been purchasing Big Ticket regularly—either solo or with friends—and expressed his immense joy upon learning of his win via email. His top priority is to repay outstanding loans and support his daughters’ education in India. He expressed sincere gratitude to Big Ticket and plans to continue participating in upcoming draws.
The fifth winner, Gangadharan Puthiyavalapil, also from India, secured his winning ticket online. The lucky ticket number 275-133482 turned into a moment of celebration when he received confirmation of the prize.
