MG Motor unveils all-new HS Hybrid+ in Middle East with 1,287km range
New hybrid SUV features 27-inch dual display and full suite of safety systems
DUBAI – MG Motor has unveiled the all-new HS Hybrid+, expanding its successful HS line-up with a second hybrid model in the Middle East.
Following the launch of the MG 8 Plug-in Hybrid last month, the new SUV brings a combination of advanced performance, innovative technology, and distinctive design.
The MG HS Hybrid+ is now available across regional showrooms, with prices starting from USD 23,100 depending on market.
The model marks MG’s ongoing commitment to offering smarter, safer, and more efficient vehicles across the region. With a hybrid range of up to 1,287 kilometres, the SUV blends practicality with power, making it one of the most versatile options in its class.
Striking design and comfort
The MG HS Hybrid+ makes an instant impression with its dynamic exterior styling. A bold black grille with chrome detailing, sleek LED headlamps, a sculpted rear spoiler, and silver roof rails define its premium SUV presence. The design is complemented by a distinctive taillight bar, completing a confident and modern profile.
Inside, the cabin is crafted for comfort and style, offering a spacious and driver-focused environment. Premium materials, heated seating options, dual-zone air conditioning, and a multi-function steering wheel contribute to an elevated driving experience. Adding to its refined character are unique details such as a crystallised gear knob and ambient lighting, enhancing both luxury and practicality.
Smart hybrid power
Under the bonnet, the all-new HS Hybrid+ is powered by a 1.5T hybrid engine that delivers 221 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque. The advanced hybrid system pairs a petrol engine with an electric motor, adapting seamlessly between electric and petrol modes to ensure smooth acceleration, reduced fuel consumption, and lower CO₂ emissions.
Drivers benefit from an extended range of up to 1,287 kilometres, combining electric efficiency with petrol convenience. The hybrid joins MG’s existing HS petrol range, which includes a 1.5T engine producing 173 hp with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a 2.0T engine delivering 231 hp with a nine-speed automatic gearbox. Across all variants, the HS series is engineered to deliver refined performance, agile handling, and improved noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels.
Technology and safety
The HS Hybrid+ stands out for its technology-driven interior. A 27-inch dual digital display integrates infotainment and driver information systems into a single panoramic interface, blending style with function. Wireless smartphone charging, satellite navigation, and advanced connectivity options make the experience both smart and seamless.
MG’s signature MG Pilot driver-assistance suite enhances safety and confidence on the road. The package includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Active Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Together, these features have helped the SUV earn a 5-Star Euro NCAP safety rating, reflecting MG’s focus on building safer vehicles for families and commuters alike.
