Dubai calls creators to design the next wave of sustainable transport solutions
Digital application process opens doors for researchers, students and institutions
DUBAI – The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is inviting innovators to take part in the 14th edition of the Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (DAST).
The platform has become one of the region’s leading initiatives for advancing sustainable mobility solutions across sectors.
With just two weeks remaining, participants are being urged to submit ideas, projects, or research that contribute to greener and safer transport systems. The application process is fully digital and can be completed in around eight minutes.
Digital entry
Applicants can register online through a streamlined submission system designed to encourage quick participation. The process allows contributions from government bodies, private companies, universities, schools, researchers, and experts working on transport innovation.
Award categories
DAST recognises work across four main categories:
- Elite, which highlights top excellence selected by the jury
- Sustainability, focusing on environmentally friendly solutions and smart city development
- Integration, covering traffic safety, inclusive mobility, and first-and-last-mile connectivity
- Innovation, aimed at students, researchers, and creative professionals developing new concepts
Sustainable solutions
The initiative places strong emphasis on environmentally responsible transport ideas that reduce emissions and improve urban mobility efficiency. It encourages solutions that support long-term sustainability goals while enhancing accessibility and safety across transport networks in Dubai.
