DUBAI – UAE airline Emirates is raising the bar for in-flight comfort by curating a restorative sleep experience for First Class passengers.

Beginning in December, long-haul travellers can enjoy specially designed loungewear, indulgent bed linen, and a turndown service that mirrors five-star hotel standards. The airline is also introducing premium drinks served in crystal-cut glassware, next-generation Bowers & Wilkins headphones, and an enhanced A380 Shower Spa featuring VOYA products, delivering a holistic journey of relaxation above the clouds.

Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure a seamless transition from the energetic pace of the airport to complete serenity in the air. From bespoke fabrics to curated scents, Emirates’ First Class experience has been elevated to combine comfort, luxury, and wellness.

Luxurious loungewear

On select long-haul flights, First Class customers are offered new loungewear sets, slippers, and eye masks. Crafted from super-soft modal, the two-piece loungewear combines breathability, lightweight comfort, and a fluid drape suitable for both relaxation in the suite and socialising at the A380 Onboard Lounge.

The fabric incorporates fully traceable botanic fibres sourced from sustainably grown beech trees, providing a temperature-regulating finish that encourages uninterrupted sleep. The women’s set comes in soft blush pink and light grey, while the men’s design features a sophisticated two-tone grey palette. Matching slippers feature plush inner soles, and eye masks are lined with ultra-soft silk-feel fabric, ensuring passengers experience maximum comfort during their journey.

The relaxed cut and elegant drape of the loungewear make it versatile for all onboard activities, from sipping a cocktail at the lounge to enjoying a restful sleep in the private First Class suite. Emirates’ attention to detail ensures that even the smallest aspects, like stitching and fabric weight, are designed with passenger comfort in mind.

Enhanced bed linen

From 2026, Emirates will introduce premium 300-thread-count cotton bedding in all First Class suites, including duvet covers, pillows, and mattress covers. Soft to the touch yet durable, the bedding provides a luxurious layer that complements the fully enclosed suite environment. Each seat transforms from an upright position into a lie-flat bed with automatic doors, offering complete privacy for restful sleep.

The new bedding has been carefully chosen to enhance temperature regulation, ensuring passengers stay comfortable throughout the night. Combined with the loungewear and turndown service, the upgraded bedding is a key component of Emirates’ holistic approach to in-flight wellness and comfort.

Refined turndown service

Emirates’ First Class turndown service evokes the quiet elegance of a five-star hotel suite. The ritual begins with a fully prepared bed, including a plush duvet and pillow arrangement. Each suite is accompanied by a bespoke wellness card encouraging relaxation, along with BYREDO Chamomile Pillow Mist delicately placed on the duvet fold to induce calm.

To complete the experience, a luxury chocolate from renowned chocolatiers such as Valrhona, Canonica, Coco Jalila, and Neuhaus is presented on the bed. This combination of tactile comfort, soothing aromas, and gourmet indulgence ensures passengers feel pampered from the moment they recline.

Emirates A380 Shower Spa

The iconic Emirates A380 Shower Spa has been refreshed with bespoke display units in a speckled stone finish, designed to complement retrofitted aircraft interiors. Each hand-finished unit is unique in tone and texture, reinforcing the wellness-led ambience.

Continuing its partnership with Irish luxury skincare brand VOYA, Emirates is introducing two new fragrance ranges: Tranquillity, featuring lavender and eucalyptus, and Revitalise, with honeysuckle and neroli. These collections include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body moisturiser, face wash, coconut and jasmine soap, hand wash, and hand cream. Passengers can enjoy these products in the Shower Spa or in First and Business Class washrooms, extending the luxury wellness experience throughout the cabin.

Nightcaps in crystal

New crystal-cut glassware has been introduced to enhance Emirates’ First Class dining experience. Elegant and refined, the glassware is used to present select spirits, premium cocktails, mocktails, iced café lattes, and iced Americanos. A brandy balloon glass will also be introduced to present Hennessy Paradis Cognac and Tesseron brandy. Each sip is designed to complement the visual and tactile elegance of the glassware, adding to the overall in-flight indulgence.

Immersive sound

In early 2026, First Class passengers will be able to use the next-generation Bowers & Wilkins E2 headphones, custom-tuned exclusively for Emirates. These headphones offer enhanced active noise cancellation, superior comfort, and a natural, immersive sound profile.

Passengers can explore curated playlists selected by Bowers & Wilkins sound engineers, optimised for the E2 headphones. A voice transparency mode allows ambient sound to pass through when needed, returning the listener to complete auditory serenity. The headphones integrate seamlessly with Emirates’ award-winning ice inflight entertainment system, providing an unparalleled audio experience that perfectly complements the airline’s holistic luxury offering.
