Dubai gold prices remain flat with 24K at Dh547.25 amid global watch
Silver slips as investors track Middle East tensions and oil movement
DUBAI – Dubai’s gold market continues to hold its status as one of the most closely watched retail bullion hubs, where daily price shifts are tracked by shoppers, investors and tourists alike.
Retail rates in the emirate often mirror international movements while reflecting local jewellery demand and trading sentiment.
On Tuesday, however, buyers scanning price boards across the city saw a familiar picture, with rates remaining unchanged from a day earlier.
Dubai gold rates
According to the Dubai Jewellery Group’s suggested retail jewellery prices for today, 24K gold stood at Dh547.25 per gram, while 22K was priced at Dh506.75. Rates for 21K reached Dh486.00, 18K stood at Dh416.50 and 14K gold was listed at Dh325.00.
The figures marked no movement from Monday’s rates. On Monday, Dubai gold prices across all major categories had settled at exactly the same levels, leaving consumers with unchanged buying conditions heading into the middle of the week.
Global markets
Flat movement in Dubai retail prices came as international gold markets paused after recent volatility. Spot gold edged down 0.1 percent to $4,560.39 an ounce in early trading on Tuesday, while US gold futures for June delivery rose 0.1 percent to $4,563.50. Global bullion had earlier touched its lowest level since March 30 before regaining ground.
International markets remained fixed on geopolitical developments after US President Donald Trump paused a planned strike against Iran to allow negotiations linked to the US-Israeli conflict. Investors continued to monitor the wider regional picture, including shipping concerns around the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global energy flows.
The market is also watching broader economic signals. Attention has shifted towards the US Federal Reserve’s policy direction, with Kevin Warsh set to assume leadership as Fed chair later this week. Traders are also awaiting minutes from the Fed’s April meeting for clues on interest rates and inflation trends.
Oil prices meanwhile fell by more than 2 percent, easing some inflation concerns and influencing broader market sentiment. Gold is traditionally viewed as a hedge against inflation, though higher rates tend to weigh on non-yielding assets.
Other precious metals
Other precious metals recorded declines. Spot silver dropped 1.3 percent to $76.63 an ounce.
Platinum slipped 0.5 per cent to $1,969.84, while palladium fell 1.2 per cent to $1,401.74 as investors assessed geopolitical risk and monetary policy signals across global markets.
