ABU DHABI – The Abu Dhabi Police have announced arrest of 109 individuals of various nationalities for filming sites and events and disseminating inaccurate information on social media during ongoing developments.
Authorities warned that such acts could mislead the public and stir rumours within the community.
Legal and administrative measures have been taken against those involved as part of ongoing efforts to monitor and address violations related to the misuse of social media platforms.

Police emphasised that posting or reposting unverified content or material not issued by official authorities constitutes a clear violation of laws and regulations. Such behaviour has a negative impact on public safety and the course of security operations. Citizens and residents are urged to verify information before sharing and avoid circulating any content that could compromise security procedures.
Abu Dhabi Police called on the public to obtain information exclusively from authorised sources. The authorities advised refraining from filming or publishing clips of event sites to safeguard both the integrity of ongoing security measures and the broader public interest.
