Air Arabia adds Katowice to growing Poland network
New connection begins on December 17 with Airbus A320neo aircraft
SHARJAH – Air Arabia is expanding its network in Poland with the launch of four weekly non-stop flights between Sharjah International Airport and Katowice International Airport, with services set to begin on December 17, 2026.
The new route will make Katowice the airline’s third Polish destination from Sharjah, following existing services to Kraków and Warsaw Chopin. The connection is expected to provide travellers with a direct link between the UAE and southern Poland while adding another gateway to the airline’s growing European network.
The service will be operated using an Airbus A320neo aircraft. Air Arabia Group Chief Executive Officer Adel Al Ali said the new route would give passengers more travel options while supporting tourism, business and economic ties between the UAE and Poland.
He said the airline remained focused on expanding its European network in response to changing travel demand and providing value-driven air travel across its destinations.

Artur Tomasik, Chief Executive Officer of Katowice Airport, said the new service would strengthen the airport’s international connectivity and was expected to generate two-way passenger traffic.
He noted that residents of southern Poland would gain access to Air Arabia’s wider network, including destinations across Asia through Sharjah. The route will also make Poland more accessible to UAE residents travelling for business and tourism.
Air Arabia operates an all-Airbus fleet comprising A320 and A321 aircraft. Its onboard offering includes SkyTime, a complimentary in-flight streaming service, and SkyCafe, while its Air Rewards programme provides loyalty benefits to passengers.
