DUBAI – The Diplomat Business Club recently hosted a high-profile Business Conference in Dubai, underlining the UAE’s expanding business, trade, and investment opportunities.

The event emphasised the crucial role of the private sector and the expatriate business community in contributing to the country’s continued success story.

The conference brought together global business leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors from Europe, the United States, Türkiye, Africa, Central Asia, China, and South Asia.

Diplomat Business Club

As a private sector initiative, Diplomat Business Club has cultivated an extensive network of international business leaders.

The Club regularly organises conferences featuring keynote speeches and presentations by senior UAE officials, including representatives from the Ministry of Economy. These forums offer a credible platform for international companies to gain insights into the UAE’s investor-friendly environment shaped by regulatory reform, innovation, and global competitiveness.

Led by UAE-based expatriate businessman and former Ambassador Javed Malik, the Club combines expertise in business, diplomacy, and media to connect professionals from more than 35 countries. Malik highlighted the Club’s objectives, saying, “Our Business Forums connect people, create opportunities and provide credible information, insights and clarity on the UAE’s evolving economic opportunities.” He added that the Keynote Speaker Series helps align private sector initiatives with emerging trends in the UAE’s innovative economic landscape. Malik expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Economy and Tourism for its guidance and active participation in the forum series.

Economic outlook

Keynote speaker Abdulla Al Saleh, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, said the UAE represents a global symbol of openness, innovation, and opportunity. He emphasised the nation’s commitment to partnership, the rule of law, and a knowledge-driven economic model.

Al Saleh highlighted priority growth sectors, including FinTech, sustainability, creative industries, health technology, educational technology, AgriTech, space, and renewable energy. He also discussed the country’s pro-competitiveness policies, AI adoption, digital economy initiatives, and circular economy strategies.

Investment highlights

The conference featured an interactive session with UAE business leader Rizwan Sajan, Founder and Chairman of Danube Group. He noted Dubai’s continuing appeal for investors, describing its real estate sector as one of the most economically viable and attractive investment opportunities globally.

International engagement

The event also welcomed diplomats and business council leaders from Norway, Belgium, Türkiye, Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. Awards recognised contributions to trade, investment, and business community engagement.

Notable honourees included leaders from Belgium, France, Russia, China, Norway, Türkiye, Spain, India, and Pakistan. Ashfaq Ahmed, Managing Editor of Gulf News, received recognition for his contributions to journalism.
