Emirates adds new daily flight to popular European destination
Extra service launches just in time for year-end holiday season
DUBAI: Emirates is ramping up its operations to Spain with the launch of a third daily flight to Barcelona starting 26 October 2025.
The move brings the total number of Emirates flights to the Catalan capital to 21 per week, reflecting growing demand from both leisure and business travellers.
The enhanced schedule is set to boost connectivity not just between Dubai and Barcelona, but also to onward destinations across the airline’s global network. Popular Asian and island getaways such as Maldives, Bangkok, Bali, Hong Kong and Singapore will now be even more accessible via convenient transit through Dubai.
Flight timings
From Dubai International Airport (DXB), flights to Barcelona will depart daily at 3.45am, 8.15am, and 2pm. Return services from Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) will take off at 3.10pm, 3.30pm, and 8.25pm, offering passengers a choice of departure times suited to various itineraries.
Onboard experience
Passengers flying on the new service can enjoy Emirates’ award-winning service, with regionally inspired meals, premium beverages, and up to 6,500 channels of inflight entertainment on ice. The airline will operate these services using a mix of its iconic Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.

In a separate update, Emirates has also rolled out a new partnership with Uber, offering Skywards members the opportunity to earn miles on Uber rides across select markets. Passengers booking flights may also receive Uber ride vouchers, providing smoother ground connections and greater value.
Booking options
Flights to Barcelona are available for booking on emirates.com, the Emirates App, through travel agents, and at the airline’s retail outlets. With this addition, Emirates will now operate 28 weekly flights to Spain – including 14 to Madrid and 14 to Barcelona, of which 7 continue to Mexico City.
