More flights to Africa, Asia, Australia and beyond added from DXB
DUBAI: Getting ready to plan your next adventure? You’re not alone. With several new Emirates flights launching from Dubai in 2025, the travel calendar is looking brighter than ever.
The Dubai-based airline is expanding its network across Africa, East Asia and Australia, including more daily departures, aircraft upgrades, and the introduction of new destinations to its schedule. Flying from the world’s busiest international airport, Emirates continues to connect Dubai with the globe like never before.
Here’s a breakdown of all the new Emirates flights from Dubai this year.
Europe & Africa
Edinburgh, Scotland welcomes the Airbus A350, with Emirates resuming its services to the Scottish capital since November 2024. From 2025, Emirates flight EK23 departs DXB at 2.50PM, landing in Edinburgh at 7.05PM local time. Return flight EK24 leaves Edinburgh at 8.40PM, arriving back in Dubai at 8.05AM.
In South Africa, a fourth daily flight to Johannesburg begins on Saturday 1 March, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER with a three-class configuration. Flight EK767 departs DXB at 12.10AM, landing at 6.20AM. The return, EK768, departs Johannesburg at 10.15AM and arrives in Dubai at 8.15PM.
As of 1 January, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia will see daily Emirates flights. The new schedule enhances options for travellers connecting between East Africa and the Gulf region.
In Sri Lanka, Emirates adds a sixth weekly flight to Colombo, increasing capacity on the route by 30 percent. Operating until 31 March 2025, the flight leaves Dubai daily (except Wednesday) at 10.05AM, reaching Colombo at 4PM.
East Asia & China
Big news for Vietnam, as Emirates launches a second daily flight to Ho Chi Minh City, moved forward from February to mid-January due to Lunar New Year demand. Additionally, Da Nang joins the network as the third Vietnamese city, with flights via Bangkok every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flight EK370 leaves Dubai at 9AM, arriving in Da Nang at 9.50PM local time.
From January, Siem Reap, Cambodia will see three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Each leg will route through Bangkok and will be operated by a two-class Boeing 777-300ER with 421 seats.
China continues to be a major focus, with daily flights to Shenzhen and Hangzhou being added. Shenzhen services (EK328 and EK329) begin with retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft offering premium economy, business and economy cabins. Flights leave Dubai at 10.05am daily, arriving in Shenzhen at 10PM local time.
From 30 July, Emirates introduces Hangzhou to its map, making it the fifth city served in mainland China. EK310 departs DXB at 9.40AM, reaching Hangzhou at 10PM. The return EK311 departs at 12.10AM and lands in Dubai at 4.55AM. This new service adds 2,478 weekly seats to Zhejiang province.
South Asia & Australia
In India, the Airbus A350 joins the Emirates fleet flying daily to Mumbai and Ahmedabad since Sunday 26 January. EK502 departs Dubai at 1.15PM, reaching Mumbai at 5.50PM. The return leaves Mumbai at 7.20PM and arrives in Dubai by 9.05PM.
Melbourne, Australia, will benefit from a third daily flight beginning Sunday 30 March, operated by a retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER. This new direct service replaces Emirates’ Singapore-Melbourne route, streamlining connectivity via Dubai. It adds to the two existing daily Airbus A380 flights, significantly increasing total seat availability.
Meanwhile, Beirut, Lebanon, sees the return of twice-daily Emirates flights, with a morning service added to the existing schedule. Departing at 7.30AM from DXB and landing in Beirut at 10.30AM, the return departs at 12.05PM and lands in Dubai at 4.55PM.
