Geneva gets first Emirates Travel Store on Rue du Rhône
New retail concept brings Emirates' travel services closer to Swiss customers
DUBAI: In a move that underscores its growing investment in the Swiss market, Emirates has officially inaugurated its first Travel Store in Switzerland.
Located at the prestigious Rue du Rhône in the heart of Geneva, the store marks the airline’s first physical retail presence in the country. This strategic expansion aims to enhance customer experience by offering direct access to Emirates’ travel expertise and signature hospitality.
The 134-square-metre outlet was inaugurated on Tuesday, by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer. The event was attended by Dr. Hissa Abdulla Ahmed Al-Otaiba, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Swiss Confederation; Jasim Alabdouli, Consul General of the UAE in Geneva; Vincent Subilia, Director General of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce; Gilles Rufenacht, Director General of Geneva Airport; as well as numerous trade partners and media representatives.
“This innovative concept reflects our commitment to offering customers the highest standards of service that complement their seamless travel journeys with Emirates,” said Kazim during the opening.

Modern concept
The Emirates Travel Store blends luxury with functionality, offering a modern lounge environment where customers can consult with trained travel experts. The store is furnished in soft beige tones, paired with sleek, contemporary furniture, creating a calm, welcoming setting. Visitors can relax while browsing exclusive merchandise and travel accessories from the official Emirates collection.
The space features three dedicated service counters, where Emirates’ consultants assist with reservations, information on destinations, and the latest offers. The team provides the airline’s renowned hospitality, ensuring that each interaction is personalised and seamless.

Immersive features
A large LED display showcases updates on Emirates destinations and promotions, while a self-service kiosk allows for quick access to flight details. Among the store’s interactive elements is a voice-activated selfie wall that enables customers to take photos against digital backdrops of popular destinations within the Emirates network. These photos are accessible via QR codes, enhancing convenience and sustainability by eliminating printouts.
Adding to the immersive experience is a full-scale Emirates Business Class seat, giving visitors a chance to see and feel one of the airline’s key premium products up close.
The store operates from Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:30, and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00.
Emirates in Switzerland
Emirates currently operates two daily flights from both Zurich and Geneva to Dubai, offering Swiss passengers efficient connections to over 140 destinations across six continents. These routes cater to leisure and business travellers, as well as those visiting family and friends abroad.
Last year in August, Emirates introduced a modernised Boeing 777 to its Geneva route – making the city the first in its global network to receive the updated four-class configuration. This included the debut of Emirates’ Premium Economy cabin in Continental Europe and a reimagined Business Class layout featuring a 1-2-1 seating configuration.
