UAE set to host Dubai World Cup with $30.5 million in prize money
Celebrating three decades of world-class racing and global competition
DUBAI – Marking its 30th running, the Dubai World Cup returns to Meydan Racecourse on Saturday, 28 March 2026.
First staged in 1996, the event has become a highlight of the global horseracing calendar, attracting elite horses, jockeys, and trainers from around the world.
With $30.5 million in prize money across nine races, the 2026 edition follows last year’s memorable triumph by American-trained Hit Show, who will once again contest the $12 million Dubai World Cup, sponsored by Emirates Airline. The race continues to draw the finest international contenders and showcase world-class competition.
Beyond the track, the event is celebrated for its fashion, hospitality, and social experiences, offering visitors an extraordinary blend of sporting excellence, entertainment, and glamour.

The 30th edition features nine high-profile races, including the headline $12 million Dubai World Cup. International runners from across the globe will compete, bringing a thrilling mix of speed, stamina, and skill.
Previous editions have produced unforgettable moments, and 2026 promises to maintain this standard with the return of top performers and new contenders aiming for global recognition.
Style & social
The Style Stakes, sponsored by Emaar, returns to the vibrant Apron Views. This annual fashion competition celebrates elegance and individuality, with categories such as Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Man, Best Dressed Couple, Best Traditional Outfit, and Best Hat. Prizes include Emirates Skywards Miles, luxury fashion vouchers, Al Tayer Motors driving experiences, exclusive Emaar gift cards, and $15,000 for Best Dressed Lady.
Judging the competition will be actress Mahira Abdelaziz, stylist Sarah Silsbury, milliner Evelynn McDermott, and Nicholas Bellaton, Head of Hospitality at Emaar Hospitality Group. Apron Views doubles as a lively social village, featuring live music, DJs, roaming entertainment, and pop-ups from popular local food vendors. Access to the Style Stakes is included with all ticket tiers, excluding General Admission.
