Al-Futtaim Toyota unveils GR86 coupe at Dubai autodrom
Stylish coupe brings sports-focused handling and performance to a wider audience
Dubai: Toyota GR enthusiasts in the UAE were thrilled to witness the unveiling of the new Toyota GR86 Coupe at a special event hosted by Al-Futtaim Toyota at the Dubai Autodrome.
The event, held during the Suhoor on the Track gathering, offered GR owners an exclusive reveal alongside gourmet cuisine and exhilarating driving experiences.
The introduction of the Toyota GR86 marks an exciting addition to Al-Futtaim Toyota's GR lineup, providing sports car enthusiasts in the UAE with access to thrilling performances in a stylish package. As an evolution of the previous FT86 model, the GR86 stays true to Toyota's commitment to sports car engineering with its sleek design and dynamic handling.
Developed by the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing team, the GR86 promises an exhilarating driving experience, inheriting features from its predecessor while incorporating performance enhancements. With a 2.4L naturally aspirated engine delivering 233 hp and 250 nm of torque, the GR86 offers increased power and responsiveness. Drivers can choose between a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, experiencing improved acceleration and handling.

The new GR86 boasts a refined, aerodynamic profile, featuring a distinctive GR-specific grille, angular LED headlights, and aerodynamic air dams. Inside the cockpit, the focus is on simplicity and functionality, with a digital instrumentation system offering three modes for different driving experiences. Practical features include an 8-inch multimedia touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, and dual-zone automatic air conditioning.
Safety remains a top priority, with the GR86 equipped with a comprehensive array of safety features including airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System, and Pre-Collision System among others.
Customers have the freedom to express their individuality with a choice of seven exterior colors and two types of newly designed wheels, completing the GR86's dynamic appearance.
