Dubai unveils 8-day New Year Eve 2026 celebrations for the first time
Burj Khalifa extravaganza to be led by Shah Rukh Khan, parade and fireworks
DUBAI – Dubai is transforming New Year’s Eve into an eight-day spectacle, turning Downtown Dubai into a live stage from 31 December to 7 January.
The full Burj Khalifa façade, Dubai Mall promenade and Burj Khalifa lake will host synchronised shows, fireworks, lasers, drones and nightly festivities.
Whether you’re a visitor, resident or global viewer, NYE 2026 offers extended celebration like never before.
Downtown Dubai
Expect Downtown Dubai to come alive each night with cinematic performances, aerial acts, floating platforms, illuminated puppets and large-scale visual displays.
The skyline will light up with dazzling choreography, streamed to global audiences.
A grand parade will wind through the streets, with floats and performers showcasing Dubai’s cultural energy and futuristic spirit.
Burj Park
Burj Park will be the heart of the action, offering premium viewing and a curated Bollywood-inspired experience in partnership with Frontstage, part of Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
Guests can enjoy front-row access to the countdown, fireworks, live entertainment and laser shows, set to blockbuster-style staging.

More than a countdown
Beyond the celebrations at Burj Park, visitors can explore workshops for children, themed food stalls and dedicated viewing zones along the promenade. The experience offers a blend of live art, technology and family-friendly entertainment. Organisers expect high attendance, with past New Year celebrations in Downtown Dubai drawing over 1.7 million visitors and reaching more than 2 billion global livestream viewers.
According to Emaar Founder Mohamed Alabbar, the celebration is designed to capture “the spirit, creativity and ambition” of Dubai, showcasing an unprecedented mix of culture, innovation and global glamour.
