DUBAI/ISLAMABAD: Lt Col (r) Raja Wasim Ahmed, President of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF), has been elected as a Council Member of the Asian Taekwondo Union (ATU).
The election was held during the ATU General Assembly yesterday in Kuching, Malaysia.
This appointment represents a major milestone in Pakistan’s growing role within the international Taekwondo community.
Wasim Ahmed’s election highlights his years of dedicated service and commitment to advancing the sport both nationally and abroad.

In the same assembly, Sang Jin Kim of South Korea was elected as the new President of the Asian Taekwondo Union, marking a new phase of leadership for the sport across Asia.
The Pakistan Taekwondo Federation extended congratulations to both officials and reaffirmed its commitment to regional cooperation for the sport’s growth.
