How to get your Sharjah SEWA no-objection certificate in 2 hours
Applications now processed online around the clock
SHARJAH – Obtaining a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has become significantly faster following a major upgrade to its digital services.
The authority has reduced the processing time from three working days to just two hours.
The move forms part of SEWA's wider digital transformation programme designed to enhance customer experience, simplify procedures and support development across the emirate.
Apply online
Applicants can submit NOC requests at any time through SEWA's official website or smart application. Once an application is received, an integrated electronic system automatically verifies the submitted information and processes the request, eliminating much of the manual work that previously extended approval times.
The upgraded platform also allows applicants to monitor the progress of their requests in real time, providing greater transparency throughout the approval process.
Abdulrahim Al Zarouni, Director of the Shared Services Department at SEWA, said the initiative reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to streamline government procedures and encourage business activity.
He said SEWA has adopted advanced digital technologies to accelerate approvals, particularly for infrastructure and development projects where no-objection certificates are a key requirement. According to Al Zarouni, the improved service is expected to strengthen Sharjah's investment environment by making approvals faster, more efficient and accessible around the clock through digital channels.
