Saudi-Pakistan travel: Flyadeal launches Islamabad and Peshawar flights
Weekly flights from Riyadh now open for bookings
DUBAI – Flyadeal, Saudi Arabia’s leading low-cost carrier, has officially expanded its scheduled operations to Pakistan with the launch of direct flights to Islamabad and Peshawar.
The inaugural flight to Islamabad International Airport landed on Sunday, receiving a traditional water salute. The aircraft, arriving from Riyadh ahead of schedule at 06:08am, carried 65 passengers. Its return flight departed at 07:33am with 172 passengers on board.
Flyadeal will maintain weekly services on the Riyadh–Islamabad route every Sunday.
The following day, Flyadeal’s inaugural flight arrived at Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIAP), Peshawar. The event, held between 5:05–5:25am in the International Departure Lounge, featured a cake-cutting ceremony organised by Menzies RAS. Officials from the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), Airport Security Force (ASF), and Menzies RAS attended the ceremony. Flyadeal will operate two weekly flights between Riyadh and Peshawar, scheduled every Monday and Wednesday.
Flyadeal lands in Pakistan
The Pakistan Airports Authority welcomed the airline’s entry into the country, highlighting that new services to Islamabad and Peshawar will enhance connectivity, improve passenger convenience, and strengthen historic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. With these routes, Flyadeal aims to meet the growing demand for affordable travel, particularly for the large Pakistani community in Riyadh.
Flyadeal has previously operated Hajj charter flights to Pakistan, but this marks its first regular services. Earlier in February, the airline also began flights to Karachi from Jeddah and Riyadh. The carrier plans to add more Pakistani destinations in line with its international expansion strategy.
Currently serving nearly 30 destinations across Saudi Arabia, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, Flyadeal intends to raise international routes to 35% of its total seat capacity by the end of 2025, up from 18% today.
