UAE weather: Light rain and cooler nights expected over this weekend
Coastal rain chances rise across northern emirates
DUBAI – The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast partly cloudy to cloudy conditions across the UAE this weekend, with a chance of light rainfall in coastal and northern areas.
Humidity levels are expected to rise during nights and early mornings, particularly in inland and coastal regions, while winds will remain light to moderate but may occasionally pick up.

Residents and visitors should also note changing sea conditions, with the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman experiencing mild to moderate waves.
Abu Dhabi and Al Dhafra
Abu Dhabi and Al Dhafra are expected to witness fair to partly cloudy skies on Saturday and Sunday, with occasional cloud cover and light rainfall in some areas. Night-time humidity will reach its peak, particularly in coastal regions.
Temperatures in Abu Dhabi will range between 25°-16° on Saturday night, rising slightly to 25°-18° on Sunday night. Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly at 10-20 km/h, occasionally reaching 35 km/h.
Dubai and coastal areas
Dubai’s weekend will be marked by partly cloudy skies with light showers possible, particularly on Saturday. Night-time temperatures will hover between 25°-17° on Saturday and 26°-18° on Sunday, with humidity reaching 80-85%.
Winds will continue at 10-35 km/h, creating mild to moderate sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf. Beachgoers and maritime enthusiasts are advised to take note of changing tides, with high and low tides occurring at regular intervals over both days.
Al Ain and inland emirates
In Al Ain, residents can expect similar weather, with partly cloudy skies and light rainfall likely during both days. Night-time temperatures will be around 23°-16° on Saturday, climbing to 24°-18° on Sunday, accompanied by 80-90% humidity. Winds will remain at 10-35 km/h. Inland areas should be prepared for humid conditions in the early hours, especially around dawn.
Northern emirates
The northern emirates are forecast partly cloudy with a chance of showers, particularly in Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. Saturday night temperatures will range from 24°-19°, while Sunday nights will see temperatures around 25°-18° to 27°-18° in Ras Al Khaimah.
Humidity will remain high at 75-85%, with moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds of 10-35 km/h. Coastal areas may experience light rainfall during the day, especially in Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.
Winds and sea conditions
Throughout the UAE, winds will predominantly blow from the southeast to northeast at 10-20 km/h, occasionally gusting up to 35 km/h. The Arabian Gulf will experience light to moderate waves, with high tides in Abu Dhabi at 16:45 and 06:46 and low tides at 11:21 and 23:31.
The Sea of Oman will see similar conditions, with high tides at 14:37 and 02:32 and low tides at 08:56 and 19:53. Maritime authorities have advised caution for small vessels in the northern and eastern waters.
