The reassurance comes alongside the release of an official Safety Guide for March 2026, outlining precautionary steps to ensure public safety in various situations.
The advisory, issued by the Dubai Media Office, emphasises that daily life and essential services continue without disruption. Officials have stressed the importance of staying informed through trusted sources and verifying information before sharing it, particularly on social media platforms where misinformation can circulate rapidly.
Safety steps
The guide provides clear instructions for individuals in different scenarios, beginning with those indoors. Residents in homes or offices are advised to remain calm and avoid panic if they receive official alerts. Moving away from windows, balconies and glass surfaces is recommended, along with staying clear of open areas within buildings.
Authorities have also highlighted the importance of listening for building announcements or instructions from security personnel. Individuals are urged to remain in place until an official ‘all clear’ notification is received, reinforcing the need for patience and adherence to guidance during precautionary situations.
Outdoor measures
For those outdoors, the advisory outlines immediate steps to minimise risk. Individuals are encouraged to move indoors promptly and enter the nearest building when necessary. Standing near external walls, glass panels or open areas should be avoided at all times.
Drivers receiving alerts are instructed to park safely, exit their vehicles and take cover in a secure location. The emphasis remains on swift but calm action, ensuring personal safety while avoiding unnecessary panic.
The guidance also reiterates the importance of distancing oneself from windows and balconies, whether indoors or outdoors, as part of standard precautionary measures.
