flydubai opens new Europe route offering direct flights to Vilnius
Scheduled services to Lithuania to operate three times weekly year-round
DUBAI – flydubai has announced its entry into the Lithuanian market with the launch of direct scheduled flights between Dubai International Airport and Vilnius Airport, set to begin on 11 December 2025.
The new service marks the airline’s first route to Lithuania and introduces direct air connectivity between Dubai and Vilnius for tourism, business, and transit travellers.
The flights will operate three times a week across both winter and summer seasons, offering a journey time of just over six hours.
New route details
The flights will be operated using modern Boeing 737 aircraft, featuring both Economy and Business Class cabins. According to the airline, passengers booking through flydubai, and connecting onwards with Emirates, will gain access to more than 200 destinations globally. Tickets have already gone on sale via the official flydubai website.
UAE-Lithuania travel
Lithuanian officials highlighted that the route opens quicker access to global destinations through Dubai, one of the Middle East’s major aviation hubs.
Lithuanian Airports CEO Simonas Bartkus said the launch is an important step in enhancing the country’s air connectivity with strategic regions including Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

flydubai’s Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce, Jeyhun Efendi, said Europe remains an important market for the airline. He added that the Vilnius route will support flows of tourism and trade while giving travellers access to destinations such as Thailand, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and the Maldives.
