Dubai allocates 830 ready homes in Dh1.6bn housing boost for citizens

DUBAI – The government of Dubai has begun allocating its largest batch of ready homes to citizens, marking a major step in the emirate’s housing development efforts.
The initiative, led by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE), covers two major residential projects in Wadi Al Amardi and Al Aweer. The allocation follows directives issued by Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum and coincides with the Year of the Family 2026 initiative.
The total value of the homes stands at Dh1.6 billion, making it the largest allocation of ready housing units in the establishment’s history. Alongside the allocation, MBRHE is also implementing an Dh83 million grant aimed at furnishing beneficiaries’ homes, further supporting families as they transition into their new residences.
Smart process
The allocation process has been designed around a digital-first approach, with beneficiaries using the DubaiNow app to reserve homes. According to MBRHE, this system ensures efficiency, transparency and ease of access for applicants.
Beneficiaries are contacted by the establishment’s call centre team and invited to visit on-site allocation centres located within the two projects. These centres operate from Monday to Thursday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, and on Fridays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A total of 830 housing units are being distributed under the initiative. Officials confirmed that the homes have been developed in line with modern standards, with an emphasis on privacy and flexibility for future expansion. The projects also feature advanced infrastructure, road networks and integrated community services.
Al Aweer
The Al Aweer development includes 398 housing units, all allocated as grants, with a total budget exceeding Dh734 million. Each unit offers a built-up area of 4,000 square feet within an overall plot size of 4,500 square feet.
The homes are designed to accommodate family needs, featuring four bedrooms, a majlis, a living room, a modern kitchen and utility spaces. The development also incorporates essential amenities such as public parks and community majlis halls, supported by modern infrastructure and road systems.
The design approach prioritises comfort and functionality, ensuring that residents have access to well-planned living environments within a fully serviced neighbourhood.
Wadi Al Amardi
The Wadi Al Amardi project comprises 432 housing units, also allocated as grants, with a budget exceeding Dh767 million. Similar to Al Aweer, each home includes a built-up area of 4,000 square feet within a 4,500-square-foot plot.
Residences are equipped with four bedrooms, a majlis, a living room, a kitchen and supporting utility areas. Each plot includes designated outdoor space, allowing for future expansions or the addition of service annexes.
The development has been planned under an integrated design framework that aligns with sustainability standards and aims to enhance overall quality of life. Infrastructure and community planning have been structured to support long-term residential needs.
