UAE-Malaysia travel: Emirates brings new A350 experience to Kuala Lumpur with daily flights
The aircraft will join a retrofitted Boeing 777 on the Dubai route
DUBAI – Emirates is bringing its latest-generation A350 aircraft to Kuala Lumpur, adding another premium travel option for passengers flying between Malaysia and Dubai.
The new aircraft will operate daily on the route from 1 September 2026, marking another expansion of the airline’s product offering in the Malaysian capital. The deployment also means Emirates customers in Kuala Lumpur will have access to all three of the airline’s flagship aircraft types.
The A350 will operate flights EK344 and EK345 between Dubai and Kuala Lumpur. It will complement the airline’s retrofitted Boeing 777, which operates EK346 and EK347 and already offers Premium Economy on the route.
Premium cabins
With the A350 joining the service, Emirates will offer 52 Premium Economy seats daily across its A350 and retrofitted Boeing 777 operations. The aircraft features 32 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, 28 Premium Economy seats and 238 Economy Class seats.
Business Class passengers will have access to lie-flat seats and wireless charging, while the premium cabins feature electronic window blinds carrying the Emirates Ghaf tree motif when closed. Digital inflight menus are also available through the aircraft’s entertainment screens.
Enhanced technology
The A350 is equipped with the latest generation of Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment system, featuring 4K and 4K HDR displays with responsive touchscreens. The system is designed to provide passengers with a sharper and more immersive viewing experience during their journey.
Connectivity has also been upgraded, with high-performance Wi-Fi powered by ViaSat’s Global Xpress satellite network. Improved Wireless Access Points are designed to strengthen connectivity throughout the aircraft, allowing passengers to remain connected while flying.
Wider connections
The new Kuala Lumpur service will provide travellers with a consistent Emirates A350 experience when connecting through Dubai to destinations across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and the Americas.
Passengers travelling on EK345 from Kuala Lumpur or arriving on EK344 can connect through Dubai to more than 20 points served by the A350 across the airline’s network. Destinations include Istanbul, Lyon and Frankfurt.
The A350 deployment comes as Emirates marks 30 years of services to Kuala Lumpur, strengthening its presence in Malaysia while expanding access to its latest aircraft and cabin products. Customers can book flights through the Emirates website, Emirates App, retail stores, contact centre and travel agents.
